Nexus is extremely proud to have recently joined the Hospiscare 40 Club to celebrate the charity’s 40th anniversary in 2022 and to contribute towards raising more than £40,000.
We have joined thirty-nine other Devon businesses, including Christopher Piper Wines, Devon Tiles and Bathrooms, and Pecorama, who have pledged to raise a minimum of £1,000 each for Hospiscare, (although we’re hopefully going to smash that!)
Nexus Managing Director, Stuart Wilson, says:
“Following a company vote, we decided to support Hospiscare as our charity of the year and become one of the 40 Club members. Our employees are looking forward to taking on sporting challenges and hosting events to help Hospiscare raise the necessary funds in order to continue their vital care.”
Since 1982, Hospiscare has provided free expert palliative and end-of-life care for those in need. By joining the 40 Club, businesses like Nexus, are helping Hospiscare care for over 2,500 terminally ill patients and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
So far, our fundraising ideas include a 150 mile cycling challenge from Exeter to Lands End, a 25 mile walking challenge from Axmouth to Exmouth, and a member of staff is being sought for a potential aeroplane wing walk at Dunkeswell airfield although we haven’t found a willing volunteer/victim… yet!
