Special Notices

Please note: This course is due for retirement by Microsoft on 30th June 2019. Alternative options will include MD100 'Microsoft Windows 10' and MD101 ' Microsoft Managing Modern Desktops'.

Please note: for Attend from Anywhere customers an additional screen is required. The additional screen must have a minimum screen size of 19 inch and minimum resolution of 1280x1024, with the vertical resolution 1024 being the most critical.

Please note: There is significant duplication of content between the M206971 'Implementing and Managing Windows 10' and the M20698 “Installing and Configuring Windows 10” course. Additionally whilst Microsoft recommend this course M20698 as preparatory for the 70-698 exam as referenced above we would suggest that attendance of the M20698 ‘Installing and Configuring Windows 10’ and M206972 'Deploying and Managing Windows 10 Using Enterprise Services' courses would also provide preparation towards both exams within the Windows 10 MCSA exam 70-697 and exam 70-698.

This five-day instructor-led course provides IT professionals with the knowledge and skills required to install and configure Windows 10 desktops in a Windows Server small to medium-sized AD DS domain environment. These skills include learning how to install and customize Windows 10 operating systems and apps, configure local and remote network connectivity, and configure local and online storage. Students also will learn how to configure security in addition to how to maintain, update, and recover Windows 10.

Target Audience

The networks with which these professionals typically work are configured as AD DS domain-based environments with managed access to the Internet and cloud services.

Students who seek certification in exam 70-698: Installing and Configuring Windows 10 also will benefit from this course. In addition, this course is intended to provide skills for Enterprise Desktop/Device Support Technicians EDSTs who work in small to medium-sized organizations, and who provide Tier 1 or Tier 2 support to users running Windows 10 desktops and devices within a Windows domain environment.

Please note: Delegates who have previous attended the M206971 'Implementing and Managing Windows 10' and M206972 'Deploying and Managing Windows 10 Using Enterprise Services' courses will find that there is some duplication of subject matter within this course. Additionally whilst Microsoft recommend this course as preparatory for the 70-698 exam as referenced above we would suggest that attendance of the M206971 'Implementing and Managing Windows 10' and M206972 'Deploying and Managing Windows 10 Using Enterprise Services' courses would also provide preparation towards both exams within the Windows 10 MCSA exam 70-697 and exam 70-698.
