Cycle Challenge Completed

Congratulations to Nexus engineers Neale Frood, Mark Runciman and Simon Gammon on completing a cycling challenge we called ‘Descend to the End’. It was a 150-mile cycle ride from our Exeter office to Land’s End, over two days (23rd & 24th June 2022).

There were two long days of cycling, some hot sun, a big dose of rain, many hills and one puncture.

Nexus funded all the challenge costs, so all money donated could go to Hospiscare.

Hospiscare provide vital support for people across Devon with life-limiting illnesses. They rely heavily on support from the public and have been hit financially due to Covid. We have made them our charity of the year and hope to raise lots of money to help them. At the time of writing, this event had raised £975 including gift aid.

We average around a day a year per staff member of fundraising and CSR activity.
