Sales Development Representative

The Role

What does a Sales Development Representative role involve?

Are you good at identifying suitable potential clients and introducing new logo business?

We need you to be responsible for generating first time appointments with prospects who meet our target market criteria and may benefit from our innovative approach to technology success.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Lead Generation: Utilise research, cold calling, telemarketing, email campaigns, trade shows, social media, networking and referral techniques to generate leads.

Prospect Management: Identify potential customers, generate appointments, maintain warm leads, manage the CRM database and have regular follow-up conversations.

Appointment Setting: Qualify prospects and set up first-time appointments (FTAs) with the sales team.

CRM Management: Keep the customer relationship management (CRM) database clean and accurate.

Collaboration: Work with our marketing team to generate interest and awareness of our brand, products and services.

About You

What do I need to succeed?

To join us as a Sales Development Representative you will need:

  • Proven experience in inside sales or telemarketing and business to business solution sales.
  • Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills across all platforms.
  • Friendly and confident with ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with potential clients.
  • Resilient with the ability to handle objections and steer conversations effectively.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales processing software.
  • Self motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.

It will be desirable to have:

  • Experience in the managed service provider (MSP) industry.
  • Knowledge of the TruMethods or equivalent sales process.
  • Demonstrable analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Broad knowledge of technical solutions for business.
  • Awareness of the importance of Information Security policies and processes for ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

The Details

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum DOE, £60,000 OTE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Exeter with hybrid working

This role is based in our Exeter office with the opportunity for hybrid working. We will expect you to work in the office at least three days a week plus at other times as required. You will also be expected to attend networking events and meet clients on site. Occasionally networking events may take place in the evening.

You will need to be able to drive and provide your own vehicle with insurance for travel to client meetings and business events.
